Katary Falls is approximately 10 km from Coonoor in the Nilgiris district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. At 180 feet in height, Katary Falls is third largest waterfall in the Nilgiris; one can reach it by trekking the falls are the site of India's first hydel power plant, the Kateri hydroelectric system
Khallatty Falls is a tourist spot near Ooty, The Nilgiris, and these falls are about 13 km from Ooty, on the Ooty to Mysore Road or Sigur Ghat Road. From the Khallatty village one has to continue for 2 miles to reach the falls and the falls is connected in the same Khallatty village road.
Kodanad View point is a tourist spot near Kotagiri town, Nilgiris District. It is located about 18 km east of Kotagiri on the eastern edges of Nilgiris Due to the location it is also called the Terminus Country.
The Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary also a declared Tiger Reserve, lies on the northwestern side of the Nilgiris Hills (Blue Mountains), in Nilgiris District, about 150 kilometers (93 mi) north-west of Coimbatore city. It shares its boundaries with the states of Karnataka and Kerala.
The protected area is home to several endangered and vulnerable species including Indian elephant, Bengal tiger, gaur and Indian leopard. There are at least 266 species of birds in the sanctuary, including critically endangered Indian white-rumpled vulture and long-billed vulture.
Mudumalai National Park is under consideration by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for selection as a World Heritage Site
Pykara is the name of a village and river 19 kilometres from Ooty. The Pykara River is considered very sacred by the Todas. It raises at Mukurthi peak, The River flows through Mukurthi, Pykara and Glen Morgan dams, and forms part of an important hydro-electric power project.
The Tribal Museum is functioning in the campus of Tribal Research Centre which is located at Muthorai Palada, 10 kms. Away from Ooty town. Tribal Museum is placed on the hillock depicting rare artifacts and photographs of primitive tribal groups of Tamilnadu as well as Andaman and Nicobar Islands and developed on the interests of Anthropological and Archaeological primitive human culture and heritage. Tribal Museum is also having an open air tribal houses belongs to Toda, Kota, Paniya, Kurumba and Kanikaran. Popular six sculptures are exhibited inside the museum depicting the life size physical anthrop models of Todas, Kotas and Paniya.
